Why Vote for me?

I have spent the last 18 years in local politics, growing, learning & improving at all times. I feel I have taken the correct path by starting at community level, moving on to County level and now I have taken the decision to put myself forward for MS. 

I realise many people will think I am crazy for trying to do this as an Independent and they may be right but if you're not willing to work hard and put yourself out there then what is the point! 

It is a myth that an independent councillor has no influence or is a wasted vote. Some would argue that without a party behind me, an independent representative cannot make a difference. But in reality, independent councillors are the only truly local voices, free to focus on what matters to my communities rather than being controlled by a national political agenda.  

Breaking the Cycle – Challenging the “Same Old” Politics

Every election, people call for change, but the same parties dominate leading to complacency, inefficiency, and a lack of fresh ideas. By voting independent, what you see is what you get. There is no hidden agenda. 

I am a true independent who cannot conform to party politics. I want to be able to stand up for the people of rural Mid Wales and fight for what we believe in, not what a party leader wants me to vote for. 

I don’t have the luxury of a team of people writing speeches for me, organising leaflets and canvassing on my behalf. What you see here is what you get. Someone who is honest, hardworking, open and approachable. 

I realise the new constituency is huge, but what would you prefer someone local to represent your views or someone who lives miles away?

For a long time, we have been shunned and ignored by Cardiff, and I want to be able to try and address that imbalance.
