I was the second born daughter to Brian & Margaret Lloyd and I grew up at Home Farm, Norton in rural Radnorshire.
My Grandparents Bill & Margery Lloyd and Ozzie & Hazel Bradford all coming from large families ensured family gatherings were always quite an occasion.
I had the typical farming upbringing with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles & Cousins all living in close proximity to the farm.
Ensuring I had a wonderful childhood filled with fun, love & laughter.
I spent many happy days at Hereford Market in the school holidays with my Dad and developed a love of animals from an early age.
I attended Presteigne Primary School and John Beddoes Secondary School.
The Lloyd family have been farming Radnorshire soil for generations and I feel deeply connected to the area.
I can trace my ancestry to Lloyney, Franskbridge, Kinnerton, New Radnor, Pen-y-bont, Llanfihangel Rhydithon, Llandegly, Llandrindod Wells, Disserth and beyond.

After leaving full-time education and entering the world of work I met Jamie and we eventually married in Knighton. I became a step-mum to Jake and Jamie & I later welcomed our first child, Ieuan. I returned to work when Ieuan was just 3 months old (maternity leave was not then what it is now!) and on the 1st March 2001 I started work part-time at East Radnorshire Day Centre.
We later welcomed our daughter Menna to the world; and after 6 months I returned to the Day Centre where I continue to work to this day.
We have been incredibly fortunate to be parents to three great children and very proud of the careers they are carving for themselves, with Jake a tree surgeon, Ieuan a football coach at a Premier League club and Menna working for the NHS in Powys.

I started work at East Radnorshire Day Centre as a part-time Administrator. My role was to provide all admin support to the charity. Over time the charity grew as did my role. I took on the responsibility of the fundraiser and finance officer.
I went back to college one evening a week and completed training in accountancy, culminating in gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, and latterly a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
I am now the CEO of East Radnorshire Care (previously known as East Radnorshire Day Centre). I am extremely proud of the work I have done in the last 25 years and the services I have developed and now oversee.
